  1. Gum Grafting: Gums can recede for a number of reasons including improper use of a toothbrush, using a brush with hard bristles, trauma, orthodontics, gum disease, and a strong muscle pull (frenum pull). Some types of recession require treatment, other types can be monitored. There are several periodontal plastic surgery techniques which can be used to repair gum recession. For more information click here.
  2. Surgical Crown or Tooth Lengthening: If you have broken a tooth or have a really deep filling or cavity below the gumline, the tissues need to be repositioned in order for your dentist to prepare a crown. In children, sometimes a tooth does not erupt. In conjunction with your orthodontist, Dr. Fritz will reposition the gum to expose the hiding tooth.
  3. Dental Implants: If you are missing a tooth or are soon to lose a tooth, you may be here to learn more about dental implants. If you are missing more than one tooth or are unable to wear your existing denture, there are implant solutions for this as well. For more information click here.
  4. Pathology/Suspicious Lesion/Biopsy: If you have an area in your mouth that your dentist or hygienist has identified as abnormal (this happens frequently). You may be referred to Dr.Fritz to examine the area, and if necessary, perform a biopsy to definitively confirm the diagnosis of the lesion. For more information click here.
  5. Comprehensive Periodontal Treatment: If you have experienced generalized loss of bone around your teeth, or your dentist or hygienist have noticed that you have some deep periodontal pocketing they may send you for a comprehensive examination, diagnostic imaging and deep cleaning. For more information click here.
  6. Reconstructive Bone Surgery: If you have one area with deep pocketing and related bone loss, this can be repaired through guided bone regeneration. If you have been told you cannot have implants because you do not have enough bone, it may be possible to grow back your lost bone! For more information click here.
  7. Sedation for Anxious Patients: Many patients with dental anxiety wish to be deeply sedated and choose intravenous sedation to fully relax them during their dental visit. Our staff and facility are equipped to treat dental phobic individuals. We see, on a daily basis, a range of people from those who are slightly anxious to those who are so phobic that they cry upon entering the office and cannot tolerate even someone looking into their mouth. We offer the spectrum of anaesthetic services. For more information click here.
